The breakaway former Conservative Maxime Bernier, who formed his own People’s Party of Canada, will be coming to Guelph on July 19.
The announcement was made by the local riding association of the PPC on Tuesday and will include a one hour interview and audience question period.
The event will be held at the Guelph Youth Music Centre and tickets will be priced at $20.
Local candidate Mark Paralovos will join Bernier to discuss the PPC platform and what the party would do if given a mandate in the fall federal election.
Paralovos was chosen as the Guelph riding candidate in May after a competitive nomination.
Bernier will be the second party leader to visit ahead of the federal election after Green Party Leader Elizabeth May.
