Trespassing man fled after being confronted

The 23-year-old male was later arrested.

A 23-year-old man was spotted on Saturday afternoon entering a garage on Municipal Street and he was confronted by the owner before fleeing.

The incident took place at approximately 3:35 p.m. and the male was located a short time later and was arrested.

He was charged with Break and Enter and will appear in court on July 23, Guelph Police said in a press release.


Impaired arrest

Guelph Police were on patrol in the area of Wellington St. and Gordon St. when officers observed a vehicle driving erratically and the vehicle was stopped.

Further investigation revealed that the driver had been drinking. A 19-year-old Guelph male was arrested and charged with Impaired Operation. He will appear in court on July 2.
